Check out the beautiful Morgan Murphy! I took her senior pictures this past beautiful weekend in downtown Decatur. She's going to be a senior this year. I had a great time hanging out with Morgan, her mom Kim, and her little sis Kelsey. Here are a few of my favorites from the session.

This past weekend, I did something I thought I'd never do - a Triathlon! My dad (who is 64) did it with me and I was so proud of both of us! My friend Misti was the one who inspired me to do it, and she did great in the race! She finished 2nd in her age! Dad and I were just glad to finish and still be alive. I think dad and I had the most support from friends and family of anyone there! I have the best friends! We had a great time that day. The weather was perfect! I was freaking out about the swim and the water being cold, but it actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be! I'm thankful that we finished and got to share this experience together. I can now mark this off my bucket list!

Happy 4th of July 2009 to everyone! I went to see the fireworks last night at Bridge Street Towne Center in Huntsville with some friends. Here are a couple of pictures of them. It's hard to get pictures of fireworks, but I tried. Also, there was this cool band called Disco Oasis who played afterwards and they were so cool. They obviously looked the part, and they played this awesome disco/70's music. They were great! It brought back many memories of the disco days. The weather was perfect too! I hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th. It's wonderful that we live in such an awesome country! We are truly blessed!

Check out he the Kyle children - Jackson, Brayden , and Kennedy Mae! They are the children of an old friend of mine (Heather Davis Kyle). It was my first time to see Heather in I don't know how many years! And now she and her husband have these three beautiful children! I can't believe time has gone by so fast. It seems like yesterday that Heather was one of my students at Calhoun. It was so nice meeting your family Heather! These are a few of my favorite shots from out time together. I hope you like!

Well, here's the new addition to my family! Introducing Miss Farrah "Pearl" Jackson Swinney, or at least that's her official registered name. I'm sure you can figure out who she's named. But I'm calling her Pearl. She's a Pembroke Welsh Corgi and I picked her up on July 4th! I will always remember the day I got her. I think she will be a welcome addition to my family. Ceasar, my cat, is already getting used to her. She's just beautiful, and so sweet. My friend Suzanne was kind enough to travel with me to pick her up in Livingston, AL. I think Suzanne fell in love with her too! So from now on, Pearl will probably be my new photography assistant.

This past HOT weekend, I went home to Hackleburg and shot this sweet family - Andrea, Kyle, and little Brady Cantrell. What sports they were in the heat. This little guy was so cute with his blonde curls! And he was a trooper. It was soooo hot and we spent a lot of time outside. Thanks to my mom and her friend Lynn for letting us take pictures at their place. And thanks to the Cantrell's for coming over to meet me. It was so nice seeing you again and meeting little Brady!
