Once again, I had the privilege of taking pictures of the Taylor boys, Dawson and Davis, along with mom and dad this time! Here are a few of my favorites.
Hope you like!
This little dogwood tree in my yard has never really bloomed before this year. I had always kept it for some reason, but it never grew large or bloomed much at all. Well, this year it's blooming beautifully! And I fully believe it's because my beloved cat Ceasar is buried under it. I lost Ceasar this past year and I placed him under that little dogwood tree. You can see his grave marker in these pictures. Even Pearl misses Ceasar, but we are reminded of him every time we look at that sweet little dogwood tree.
Introducing Mr. Mills Peek! What a cutie pie! I had the privilege of meeting for the first time and taking pictures of little Mr. Peek. I love his name too, it's short for Milton (his grandpa's name). We shot these pictures at grandpa's house as a matter of fact. Here are a few of my favorites from our afternoon together. Hope you like!
Congratulations to David for winning 3rd overall - finishing 71 miles at the Delano 12 Hour Race! He finished first in the Grand Master's (age 50+) category! This guy is a running machine!
The Delano 12 Hour race was held this weekend and I had some friends come down from TN to run the race. I was fascinated by the number of people who chose to run for 12 hours! From 6 am until 6 pm! It's crazy! These men and women ran and walked all day, both as individuals and as relay teams. Here are a few pictures of my friends David (who won 3rd overall, finishing 71 miles!), his brother Victor (who finished 60 miles!), and their support team of David's daughters (Mary who ran/paced with him) and Sally (with Pearl), and Victor's wife Kirsten (who paced with him). Check out these crazy toe shoes people ran in, as well the the almost barefoot guy in the sandals. Congratulations to all the runners/walkers! I can't imagine doing anything for 12 hours straight, especially running!
Last weekend, I had the privilege of taking pictures of the Mickelsen family - David, John, Mary, & Sally. We had fun acting silly out in the country, fighting against the wind! Here are a few of my favorites. Hope you like!
This past weekend, I had the best time on an impromptu road trip to Ashville, NC to see the Biltmore Estate with my great friends Suzanne, Kelly, and her son Rivers. We also had the privilege of staying with some of my close friends, Yanah & Larry, who live about an hour from Ashville. It was like staying at a B&B, but with much more hospitality! It was the first time for my friends to see the Biltmore. I think they were impressed a little, LOL! Here are some pictures from our awesome trip!
Each year I have the privilege of taking the family portrait of the O'Neal family. Here are a few of my favorites from this year's gathering.
This weekend my dad and stepmom came over and spent the day with me. I gave them their Christmas present that I had been working on for a while. It's a painting of his banjo, the one given to him by Donna's father who was a banjo player in a bluegrass band. I hope they liked it. I thought it turned out okay. We had a great day spending time together, eating at Phil Sandivol's (our favorite place), and shopping at Bridge Street. Merry Christmas and I love you guys!
Once again, I had the privilege of shooting a family picture for Phala Patton's family. They were all together for Thanksgiving and decided to take advantage of the occasion and take a family picture. Here are a few of my favorites.
